Cowboys & Indians

It has been a whirl-wind of a summer, but its come down to the last weekend.. and the countdown for the next great adventure. Last week we celebrated Giancarlo's 26th birthday. He was very spoiled I must say.. but I would be lying if I said that he didn't deserve it. The first (of many) events was the Padres vs. The Mets game. Even though it was a record low (freeeeezing 50 degrees) and the Padres lost (boo) we all still had a great time! I do have to say that the Padres went on to win the next two games, but I told them to let the Met's win because it was GC's birthday. HA. The following night we ended up at this ammmazing restaurant in the West Village, Broncas. They ended up closing the patio (because of the weather) but we sat inside with our pitcher of sangria and variety of tapas. I would move to Spain if only to live on sangria and tapas for the rest of my life! I forgot how much fun the West Village is, even with odd summer weather, everyone was out and about- all the restaurants sides wide open with customers piling out in the streets. New York summers are almost up there with the So Cal ones. We ended the week with GC & Katie's "cowboys & indians" birthday party at great bar where the party ended up just being all of GC & Katie's friends...and a few locals. Great juke box, cheap drinks, and amazing friends...OH and this happened to be on the HOTTEST night of the summer...hey, one extreme to the next, what more can you ask for!?

LollapalOOOza '07

I am still trying to wrap my head around all the events that surrounded working this year at Lollapalooza. I decided to help out my old boss and return this summer for another year of Lolla madness. The festival expanded from a two-day weekend to a three-day festival featuring artists; Modest Mouse, Iggy & the Stooges, Interpol, My Morning Jacket, Ben Harper, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Snow Patrol, Amy Winehouse, The Roots, Daft Punk.. and of course, Pearl Jam. The highlight of the weekend (pictures to come later on it) had to be being in the photo pit for the Pearl Jam show. Eddy ended the show with a duet with Ben Harper. Dennis Rodman and Lance Armstrong crashed the stage and it became an all-out love fest. Other highlights would have to be hanging out with Bill (the winner from the first Apprentice) as he interviewed Silver Sun Pickups in the Lolla Lounge, driving golf carts while ABC News was interviewing LCD Soundsystem (look for me on TV) hanging out with MTV as they interviewed The Roots backstage, and Modest Mouse, and of course the after party which was held in the artist lounge directly behind the main stage. Can't wait for next year!

Home, sweet, home!

I had the chance to come back to Cali really quickly for a work trip. It was sooooo good to come home!!! I got a chance to hang out with my dad & sister chilling at the new condo and taking in the Padres game! Will be back in again in a few, counting down the days!
